Ingrediants:
Boiled, peeled and smashed Potatoes(4)
Finely Cut Onion (1)
Coriander (Finely Cut)
Tamarind
Ginger/Garlic Paste
Chick Peas
Method :
Soak the chick peas overnight and pressure cook them, so that they are soft.
In a pan, take little oil, cumin seeds , ginger-garlic paste, and onions. Fry till the onions turn soft and now add the boiled chick peas. Cook this mixture covered with a little water.
Take coriander, garlic, green chillies and salt and grind this to a paste
Take tamarind, dates, sugar and grind to a paste
Smash the potatoes and add salt, chilly powder, turmeric powder to it. Make small flat balls from this. Heat a pan and place these potato balls on the pan on a very low flame and let them be there till the bottom side turns brown. Turn them and let the other side cook
Serve the potato pattis with the chick peas . Add the coriander adn tamarind chutney . Garnish with coriander, finely cut onion and sev.

Batata Wada
Ingrediants:
Coriander
Green Chilles(1-2) depends on how spicy you want
Peeled and Boiled Potatoes (5)
Onion (1)
Salt to Taste
Turmeric Powder
Salt to Taste
Chic Pea Flour
Garlic(1)
Ginger
Method:
Boil and peel the potatoes and mash them
Grind the green chillies, coriander, garlic and ginger
Mix this paste along with finely cut onion to the mashed potatoes.
Add salt, turmeric(a pinch), to this mixture
Prepare a solution using the flour, water, salt, tumeric powder, chilly powder. The solution should not be watery. Should be thick. Make small balls of the potato mixture dip them in the chick pea batter and deep fry them.
Enjoy them with a hot cup of tea and some ketchup
